My name is Bryan Turbeville, I was born and raised here in Charleston, South Carolina. As long as I can remember I’ve had a deep sense of duty and creativity, I’ve forged a unique path from serving in the military and law enforcement to becoming a creative wood sculptor. With years dedicated to protecting and serving, I’ve developed a profound respect for discipline, precision, and storytelling—elements that now define my artistic journey.
After years in uniform, I’ve found a new mission: preserving and transforming Charleston’s natural beauty into timeless sculptures. Harvesting lumber locally I carefully select each piece of wood, allowing its natural grain and imperfections to shape the final work. Through skillful carving and a deep connection to the material, my art captures the rugged resilience and raw elegance of the Lowcountry, Its marine life and culture.
I try to create sculptures that reflect both the strength and vulnerability of nature, paying homage to the past while breathing new life into the wood. Whether working on abstract art, intricate carvings, or wildlife inspired sculptures, each piece carries a story—one of service, transformation, and the rich history of the low country.
